My story of surviving cancer and physical and mental illnesses.
What in the world do these things have to do with you trying to find a crocheted scarf for your Auntie Donna or a cozie pattern for your market?
Although they aren’t directly connected, my journey from the hospital to Hobby Lobby is one crazy, emotional, twisted, frustrating, powerful, and inspiring story. You, particularly women, may need this. Maybe, just maybe, you will relate to my feelings, thoughts, and experiences. Maybe you just need a life and good shit to read while commuting to work. Whatever the reason, I’m honored you are here.
Yarn and a crochet hook gave me the tools I desperately needed to feel optimistic about my future. You see, before shopping that lovely Hobby Lobby isle, I didn’t want to think much beyond the days I was living. I’ll tell you more about that in the next section. Why am I sharing this with you on my blog? It’s important to use my experience to help others and possibly inspire you to look beyond your current situation. If I’m really successful at storytelling, you’ll become a friend and join me on this adventure.
So, I’ll take you through my last 7 years by breaking it up into sections.
Let’s go! (Woah, am I really doing this?)
